Hey! Can you do these tricks? I definitely can’t, so I had to animate them! (Nowadays I’ve learned nollie heelflips, and sometimes I even land a few lol.)
The idea was to study character animation using skateboarding as the subject. I used every tool in my bag to create these animations like: cel animation, 3D (for reference angles), illustration, and compositing.
It was a very hard challenge, but I managed to make it through. What helped me was the fact that I was working on something I really liked and already had a ton of knowledge about!
The tricks are:
Kickflip to backside tail, bs shove-it out;
Nollie heelflip.
